🎯 Purpose

This document outlines the legal risks that candidates may face depending on their country of residence when working for an adult content platform. We do not refuse to hire from any location — but we believe candidates deserve full transparency about the legal landscape so they can make an informed decision.

The guide covers both traditional and AI-generated adult content, maps open positions to risk levels, and categorizes countries into three risk tiers.

Important: This document does not constitute legal advice. It is a risk-flagging tool. Candidates in higher-risk jurisdictions should be encouraged to seek independent local legal counsel before accepting an offer. All parties should share the relevant risk information with candidates during the hiring process.

🪜 Tier Overview

Tier Risk Level Candidate Disclosure Required Applies To
🔴 RED High criminal risk. Candidate must be informed that working for an adult content platform may expose them to criminal liability in their jurisdiction. Mandatory — full written risk disclosure before offer. All positions
🟡 YELLOW Partial or evolving risk. Laws may create exposure depending on role type. Enforcement varies. Mandatory — role-specific risk briefing before offer. Primarily content-facing roles
🟢 GREEN Low risk. Adult content is legal with standard regulatory compliance. Standard onboarding information. All positions

🔴 Red Tier Countries — High Risk (Mandatory Disclosure)

These countries have outright bans on pornographic content (production, distribution, and/or possession). The laws typically cover all pornographic material regardless of medium, meaning AI-generated content is treated identically to filmed content. Candidates from these countries — even for non-content roles — may face criminal exposure simply by being employed by an adult content company.

Action required: Before progressing any candidate from a Red tier country, you must provide them with a written risk disclosure (via email) explaining that employment with our platform could expose them to criminal liability under their local laws. Candidates must acknowledge this risk in writing (confirming via email) before an offer is extended.
